Weight Loss - 2 weeks and counting!!!

So I started a diet/exercise regime 2 weeks ago. I haven't gone this long since a few months after my 3 year old was born. At that time I did the "eat little and small portions" diet, which in the end wasn't good because I wasn't eating enough calories and ended up gaining it back. I had also tried, last May, the MasterCleanse aka "The lemonade diet". 15 days of a diet that consisted of a Salt Water Flush, a homemade lemonade recipe and a laxative tea. Sounds fun, right? When I look back, it was great. The first few days were tough. No coffee and of course, no food!
I had lost 14 lbs and best of all, got rid of many issues I was having like my vertigo (dizziness). I was supposed to end it with a new lifestyle of wholesome foods, but I cheated left and right and gained the weight back, then some.

SOOOOO...here I am 14 days into a low-carb diet. So far so good! I'm really excited!! I have a bunch of 'milestones' this year to look forward to. My big 3-0 in June, For Your Pleasure convention in July (I WILL be wearing a sexy dress on awards night!), The FYP trip I earned to Italy in October and then New Years!! I have 55 lbs to lose. I'm down 6...woohoo! LOL I also signed up for Curves, which I've done before and absolutely LOVE because it's so quick. After 2 workouts so far...I can feel more muscle and my body is becoming stronger. I can't wait to go back tomorrow!! I'll be updating my progress... wish me luck!

Zenedge Energy Drink - this one is a keeper!

If you didn't know...I am a HUGE energy drink fan. I love using energy drinks to lose weight. Or to get pumped up before a party. I just plain like the taste of them. Zenedge is different from other one's I've tried. It's not too carbonated and doesn't have a bad aftertaste. After a while I actually felt the "zen" part of zenedge. I've tried it with Vodka too and is much better than Red Bull...it's smoother. See it your local store has it and give it a try!

2008 GOALS - Business AND Personal

Well, I said I'd write these and this needs to be done LAST MONTH. So here we go...

I'm not going to think too hard. I think if I keep it simple, then post goals for the month or even the week, they will become more achievable. For example, here are two typical goals many women have (including myself): Become organized. Technically, you could BECOME organized within a days time. Now staying organized is a whole 'nother thing. But still...that could happen in a few weeks. After all, they say it takes 21 days to make/break a habit. Another Example: Lose Weight. Well, I guess here it would depend on how much you need to lose. If you need to lose 52 lbs, then at a healthy pound per week...it is a year long goal. Otherwise, if you need to lose less than that, you are setting yourself up for disaster. Are you really giving yourself a whole year to lose 20 lbs? That needs to be broken down to a few months. Quit Smoking: Not a goal, this is a resolution...and should be done cold turkey from Jan 1st. (as I puff puff away... *sigh*)

So....with that said. I surely need to become organized and lose weight, but I will break those down into month long goals. As for smoking...ehhh...maybe when I achieve the 2 most important REAL goals I have for 2008.

BUY A HOME!!! I truly, honestly, desperately would like 2008 to be our year to become first-time home owners!! I will look into first time home buyers programs in NJ and continue to save for all the upfront costs.

BECOME PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTOR!! This one will not be easy...HOWEVER...I have several things on my side. See, I need 7 Directors to achieve this goal. I currently have 2 solid Directors+ and 4 girls with their own goals to become Director or higher status. That right there, gives me 6. I just need to recruit or build others on my team to want that too!

These are two very major goals and I will work on only these while breaking the lose weight and become organized into smaller monthly, but steady, goals. :)

I Don't Smoke Anymore

It's true. I don't smoke anymore. I am officially a non-smoker. Cigarettes are no longer my master. My last cigarette was around Friday/Saturday overnight at 2am-ish. I woke up to a horrible hangover after a Birthday party at a club and didn't smoke all day. That was Saturday. On Saturday, I went to a Traveling Vineyard party at 6pm. Imagine going to a wine tasting while hungover from Vodka. hahaha! Then Sunday at around 1pm, the cravings really started. I turned a little crazy with strange body movements and a psychotic sense of logic. By 8pm I had the shakes. Mind you, I started smoking 15 years ago (quitting with both pregnancies) and last week was smoking a pack a day. The last pack I bought was Tuesday night. It cost me $7.50!! From Tuesday to Friday I was bumming off Prince. I can't believe I paid $7.50 for a pack of Winstons. I say enough is enough. I'd rather put that money in the savings for a house!! So, here I am...Monday morning. I woke up with some unfamiliar energy this morning at 8am. Still craving...it's time to write on my hand again, since "I DON'T SMOKE ANYMORE" is wearing off. I REFUSE to be a slave to Winstons anymore. What's the point!!?! So, to occupy my thoughts and time now instead of smoking is...... guess??...... A DIET!! Haha...imagine that. Replacing smoking with a diet. I'm at my heaviest in a long time. I'm be doing a low-calorie, low-fat diet along with taking Alli. If I'm going to quit smoking cold turkey, then I could diet too. :) So now, when I have thoughts about cigarettes OR food...I can remember that I don't smoke anymore and I'm on a diet. So, what do I do now?? CLEAN!!! Yes, the house will be more organized and neater and my business will EXPLODE!!
